This flavorful traditional Indian rice pudding is simple to make in a crockpot and doesn't need too many ingredients to deliver all of its flavors.

  • 3 cups Sweet Milk
  • 3 cups Light Cream
  • ½ cup Brown Rice, rinsed
  • ¾ cup Light Brown Sugar
  • 1 tsp Ground Cardamom
  • ⅓ cup Small Raisins
  • ½ cup Pistachios, chopped

Place all ingredients into a crockpot.
Add about 3 cups of water into the mix to help dissolve the sugar.
Cook on low for 8 hrs, stirring about every 2 hours and adding water if mixture is too dry.
When rice has converted into a pudding texture, turn off crockpot and sprinkle more cardamom on top of mixture, if desired.
