  • 1 prepared pie crust
  • 7 oz. semisweet baking chocolate, broken into pieces
  • 12 Tbs. butter, unsalted
  • 5 eggs, divided
  • 1 tsp. vanilla
  • 1/3 C. sugar
  • 2 Tbs. cocoa, unsweetened
  • 1/8 tsp. salt

Preheat your oven to 350 degrees F. Grease a 9-inch round baking pan. Set pie crust in pan. Heat chocolate and butter in medium saucepan over low heat. Stir frequently until melted. Remove from heat. Whisk in egg yolks and vanilla. Mix in sugar, cocoa and salt. Beat egg whites to soft peaks in large bowl. Stir about 1/4 of egg whites into chocolate mix. Fold chocolate mix into remaining egg whites. Spread batter evenly on crust. Bake for 25 to 30 minutes. Cool cake before serving.
