French Chocolate Pie

A quick version of the classic French Silk.

  • 1/2 C. granulated sugar
  • 1/2 C. butter, softened
  • 2 squares semisweet chocolate, melted
  • 2 eggs
  • 2 C. frozen whipped topping
  • 1 9 inch graham cracker crust, baked

Cream together sugar and butter; add melted chocolate and mix well. Add eggs, one at a time, beating 5 minutes after each addition. Fold in whipped topping. Pour into graham cracker crust. Refrigerate. For a pretty pie, sprinkle chocolate shavings on top before serving.
