French Onion Soup
Ingredients
- 6 C. water
- 4 pkg. beef OXO cubes
- 1 ½ tsp. Worcestershire sauce
- ¼ tsp. pepper
- ½ Spanish onion
- ¼ C. butter
- Toast or croutons
- Grated mozzarella
- Parmesan
Directions
Boil water with beef cubes. Add Worcestershire sauce and pepper. Fry up Spanish onion in butter until transparent. Stir into broth and simmer for one hour. Spray inside of onion soup bowls with Pam. Raise oven rack to top level, and set oven on broil. Put 1/2 piece of toast or some croutons in bottom of bowl, and fill with soup. Top with grated mozzarella, and sprinkle with 1 tsp. Parmesan. Broil till bubbly and lightly browned.
