  • 2 tsp. corn syrup
  • 1/2 C. butter
  • 1 C. packed brown sugar
  • 1 lb. cinnamon bread, sliced
  • 8 eggs, lightly beaten
  • 3 C. light cream
  • 2 tsp. vanilla
  • 1/2 tsp. salt

Mix corn syrup, butter and brown sugar in a saucepan over medium heat until mixture comes to a boil. Stir for 1 minute. Pour in 3-quart casserole dish. Arrange bread slices on top of sugar mixture. In a large bowl, mix eggs, cream, vanilla and salt. Pour mixture over bread slices. Cover and chill overnight. Next day, preheat your oven to 350 degrees F. Bake for 40 to 45 minutes or until browned on top. Let it cool for 10 minutes and then drizzle with maple syrup.
