French Toast Sandwich

This recipe grew out of leftovers. On weekends I make a big breakfast, and on the occasion we have french toast, I make sure to make more than enough so that later that week, I can make cream cheese and jelly or PB&J using the leftover French toast, which adds a boost of protein from the egg batter. My kids LOVE it! I use the same concept with frozen waffles as well if I don't have French toast.

Ingredients

  • 2 slices French toast, already prepared or 2 frozen waffles, toasted
  • 1-2 Tbs. cream cheese spread of choice
  • 1 Tbs. jam or jelly of choice

Directions

Spread cream cheese on one side of first slice of French toast. Spread jelly on one side of second slice of French toast. Stick two slices together to make a sandwich and enjoy.
