Brunch wouldn't be the same without these tasty and toasted French toast sticks! Dip them in your favorite maple syrup or top them with fresh fruit.

  • 1 loaf of Texas toast
  • 7-8 eggs
  • ½ cup milk
  • pinch of salt
  • dash of cinnamon
  • 3 tablespoons powdered sugar
  • butter for frying

In a medium bowl, whisk together the eggs, milk, salt and cinnamon. Dip one slice at a time into the egg mix. Melt butter in a large skillet. Let the bread sit and absorb the mixture for about a minute before placing it on the skillet to fry. Fry one or two pieces of toast at a time over medium heat for about 2 minutes on each side, or until the eggs turn the toast brown. Continue the process until all the slices of toast are cooked. Once all the toast is cooked, cut each slice into 4 thick pieces. Sprinkle with powdered sugar.
