Ingredients

  • 2 lb. ripe tomatoes, peeled and cored
  • 2 Tbs. butter
  • 1 medium onion, chopped
  • 1 clove garlic, minced
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • 1 Tbs. basil, chopped
  • oregano
  • rosemary
  • 1 pinch sugar

Directions

Peel and chop the tomatoes. Put them into the crockpot. In a skillet, melt the butter and saute the onion and garlic until softened. Scrape them into the crockpot. Cover and cook for 2 to 3 hours on low.

At the end of the cooking time, stir in the herbs. Cover and cook for an additional 10 minutes. Add salt and sugar to taste.
