Ingredients

  • 3 plum tomatoes, seeded, chopped
  • 3 Tbs. onion, finely chopped
  • 2 tsp. red wine vinegar
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 1 Tbs. fresh oregano, chopped
  • 1 C. feta cheese, crumbled
  • 1 1/2 tsp. lemon zest
  • 1/2 fresh lemon
  • 1 tsp. olive oil
  • 2 lbs. lean ground beef
  • 1 Tbs. garlic, minced
  • 1 Tbs. black pepper

Heat your grill. Combine the tomatoes, onion, vinegar, salt and 2 teaspoons of oregano in a small bowl and set aside. In a seperate bowl, mix together the cheese, lemon zest, oil and the rest of the oregano.


Season your ground beef with the black pepper, the juice from 1/2 a lemon and garlic in a third bowl. Roll the beef into six balls. Take your thumb and press into the center of each ball withought poking all the way through. You are creating a little pocket.


Spoon in about 1 tablespoon of the cheese mixture into each beef ball and rool them again to secure the stuffed ingredients. Flatten each ball out into six patties and grill for 12-16 minutes flipping once in between. Serve your burgers with the tomato mixture as a relish. Enjoy!
