  • 1 ½ C Onions, diced
  • ¼ tsp Kosher Salt
  • 1 ½ C Sour Cream
  • ¾ C Mayonnaise
  • ¼ tsp Garlic Powder
  • Kosher Salt & Freshly Ground Black Pepper, to taste

Begin this recipe for fresh onion dip by heating about two tablespoons of oil in a saute pan over medium heat. Once hot, add the onions and salt, let both cook together for approximately 20 minutes, stirring occasionally. Once caramelized, remove the onions from the heat and let cool.

Combine your sour cream, mayonnaise, and garlic powder in a medium bowl. Fold in your onions once they have cooled. Season the bowl with salt and pepper to your taste and then refrigerate for at least one hour before serving.
