This fresh oven baked mostaccioli is easy to make and elegant enough for the holiday dinner table. Make it ahead of time and you’ll have a fantastic dish you won’t have to worry about on Christmas.

  • 1 lb. ground beef
  • 1 green pepper, diced
  • 1 onion, diced
  • 1 can of tomato sauce
  • 1 jar of spaghetti sauce
  • ½ C. Parmesan cheese, grated
  • 1 C. of water
  • 16 oz. mozzarella cheese, shredded
  • 16 oz. mostaccioli pasta, cooked and drained
  • 2 tsp. vegetable oil

Preheat the oven to 350 degrees. In a skillet, mix the ground beef, green peppers and onion. Let it cook until it is browned. Mix in the spaghetti sauce, tomato sauce and water. Bring it to a boil and let it simmer. Add in 1 C. of ground beef sauce mixture into a baking pan. Top it with half of the mostaccioli. Layer 2 C. of mozzarella cheese and Parmesan cheese. Layer 2 C. of sauce, the remaining mostaccioli and mozzarella cheese. Let it bake for 30-45 minutes. Serve and enjoy.
