This chutney is made with fresh pears and full of spices that are sure to tickle your taste buds! If you like your chutney a little spicier, add red pepper flakes. Serve this as a sauce on pork or poultry for a fresh fall meal!

  • 3 ripe pears, peeled, cored, and cut into chunks
  • 2 C. mixed dried fruit, chopped
  • 1/2 C. golden raisins
  • 2 scallions, minced
  • 1/4 C. sugar
  • 2 Tbs. white wine vinegar
  • 2 Tbs. lemon juice
  • 1 tsp. grated lemon zest
  • 1 tsp. crystallized ginger, chopped
  • 1 pinch cinnamon
  • 1/4 tsp. crushed red pepper flakes, optional

Put all the prepared ingredients into the crockpot and stir to combine. Cover and cook for 3 to 4 hours on low. Cool completely before storing in jars or air-tight containers in the fridge.
