  • 1 package strawberry cake mix
  • 1 package instant chocolate pudding mix
  • 4 eggs
  • 1 C. sour cream
  • 3/4 C. water
  • 1/4 C. canola oil
  • 4 oz. semisweet chocolate, melted
  • For Glaze:
  • 1 1/2 C. semisweet chocolate chips
  • 4 Tbsp. butter, softened
  • 2 1/2 Tbsp. light corn syrup
  • 1 tsp. vanilla extract
  • 1/4 tsp. nutmeg
  • For Garnish:
  • 6 strawberries, sliced
  • mint leaves
  • whipped cream

Preheat the oven to 350 degrees. In a large bowl, combine the cake mix, instant pudding mix, eggs, sour cream, water, oil, and 4 oz. of semisweet chocolate chips. Beat until the texture is smooth. Then transfer this mixture to a lightly greased baking dish. Bake for 30 minutes or until the center is firm.

Mix the chocolate chips, butter, and corn syrup; place the mixture in a double boiler over high heat. Stir the ingredients until the texture is smooth. Then add the nutmeg and vanilla extract. Slather the warm glaze over the cake. Lastly, garnish with the sliced strawberries, whipped cream, and mint leaves to your preference.
