  • 12 large fresh oysters, shucked
  • 2 eggs, beaten
  • 1 cup bread crumbs
  • salt and pepper to taste
  • 2-3 tablespoons bread crumbs
  • lemon wedge

Dip drained oysters in beaten eggs and then seasoned breadcrumbs. Set oysters aside to dry.

Heat the oil in the skillet. Place the oysters in the oil to fry. Turn over and fry the opposite side, about 1-2 minutes per side. Serve immediately with lemon and cocktail sauce.
