Try these fresh green beans sautéed with onion and cooked in chicken broth. A great new flavor for green beans.

  • 1 lb. green beans
  • 1 medium sweet onion, sliced thinly
  • 3 tbsp. butter
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 1/8 tsp. ground black pepper
  • 1/4 C. chicken broth

Snip ends off green beans; halve lengthwise, then crosswise. In a medium size pan, sauté onion in butter until soft. Stir in beans and toss. Add the remaining ingredients, and heat to boiling. Cover and simmer for 10 minutes until beans are just tender. Serve.
