Ingredients

  • 1 Tbsp. sugar
  • 1 Tbsp. yeast
  • 2 Tbsp. olive oil
  • 1 Tbsp. salt
  • 1 C. warm water
  • 1/2 C. warm milk
  • 4 C. flour
  • 1 stick butter, melted
  • 1 tsp. garlic powder
  • 2 tsp. salt

Combine oil, water, sugar, salt and yeast in bowl of mixer. Let it sit for 10 minutes and start adding flour, until the dough forms a ball. Cover the bowl with plastic wrap and leave it for Grease baking sheets. Roll out the dough and cut thick strips that will eventually be shaped into 7-inches breadsticks. Preheat oven to 400 F. Glazed the breadsticks with a mixture of melted butter and garlic powder. Bake for 10 to 15 minutes. Serve warm, with more olive oil drizzled on top.
