  • 8 ounces linguine pasta
  • 3 tablespoons butter
  • 2 cloves butter
  • ½ cup grated parmesan cheese
  • Salt and pepper to taste

In a large pot, boil salted water and then add the pasta and cook until al dente. Next, drain the pasta with a colander and save ½ cup of pasta water to be set aside. Melt the butter in the same large pot over medium heat. Add the garlic and cook for 3 minutes before adding the pasta again. Add in 1/3 cup of the pasta water so that the pasta does not dry out. Stir in ¼ cup of the parmesan cheese. Season with pepper and serve.
