  • 1 lb. spaghetti
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 1/4 C. olive oil
  • 1/2 tsp. crushed red pepper
  • 24 clams, scrubbed
  • 1/4 C. water
  • 1/4 C. parsley, chopped
  • 1/4 tsp. ground black pepper

In a large pot, boil salted water and cook spaghetti until al dente. Drain. In a large skillet, heat olive oil. Add garlic and red pepper. Cook over high heat until garlic is lightly browned. Add clams and water. Simmer for 6 to 8 minutes or until clams open. Throw away clams that don't open. Add spaghetti and parsley to clams in skillet. Season with pepper. Toss over high heat until spaghetti is coated well with juices. Place spaghetti and clams in bowl to serve.
