Garlic Shrimp Alfredo

- 8 oz. fettuccine noodles
- 1/3 cup butter
- 2 onions, thinly sliced
- 4 cloves garlic, finely minced
- 2 tsp. flour
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 1/2 tsp. pepper
- 1/2 cup half and half
- 1 tbs. lemon juice
- 1 tsp. lemon zest
- 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1 pound large shrimp, peeled and deveined
- 1 tbs. chopped fresh parsley
Start by preparing the pasta according to package directions.
Follow the directions to prepare shrimp also.
Melt butter over medium-high heat in a large skillet.
Add in onion and garlic and saute for 7-10 minutes.
Lower heat and mix in flour, salt and pepper until flour just starts to color.
Slowly stir in half and half, lower heat and let simmer until thickened for about 5 minutes.
Now add in lemon juice, zest and shrimp.
Let everything cook for 3 more minutes or just until shrimp turns pink.
Place pasta in a bowl and pour sauce on top. Mix well.
