Garlic Spaghetti with Broccoli

Try spraying your colander with vegetable spray - pasta slips right out, and colander is lots easier to clean!

Ingredients

  • 1/2 lb. (2 sticks) butter
  • 1 box frozen chopped broccoli or 1/2 bunch broccoli, washed and cut in pieces
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • 1/2 tsp. pepper
  • 2 Tbs. garlic powder
  • 1 (16-oz.) package thin spaghetti
  • Parmesan cheese, grated (optional)

Directions

Melt butter in large skillet. Add broccoli, salt, pepper, and garlic powder, and simmer until broccoli is cooked, but firm.

Cook spaghetti in boiling water according to package directions. After spaghetti is cooked, drained, and rinsed, add to the broccoli mixture and stir. Add more salt, pepper, or garlic powder if desired. Top with Parmesan cheese.
