This sweet BBQ pork sandwich is made to perfection with help from a slow cooker. Made with succulent slow cooker pork, this sandwich has great flavor and a captivating taste.

  • BBQ Sauce:
  • 28 oz. ketchup
  • 1 med. onion
  • 1 tsp. Worcestershire sauce
  • 2 Tbs. lemon juice
  • 2 Tbs. white vinegar
  • 3/4 C. brown sugar
  • 1/2 peppers or any spicy pepper you want for heat
  • 1/2 C. salsa
  • 3/4 C. honey
  • 1 Tbs. mustard
  • Pork:
  • 3 pounds boneless pork shoulder
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 3 garlic cloves, minced
  • 1 tablespoon adobo sauce
  • 1 cup BBQ sauce
  • Water as needed
  • Sandwich:
  • 5-7 white sandwich buns

To make the bbq sauce begin by putting all ingredients into a blender and blend until smooth. Make a day ahead or at least 2-4 hrs ahead so the ingredients blend together. 

Rub the seasoning all over the pork and place in your crockpot. Pour in the BBQ sauce. Top with onion and garlic. Pour in enough water to cover the bottom half of the pork shoulder. Cook on low heat until the meat becomes tender and starts to fall apart, roughly 7 hours. Shred the meat in the crockpot. 

Finally, start making your sandwiches by adding shredded pork to each sandwich and drizzle on homemade bbq sauce.
