  • 2/3 lb. lean ground beef
  • 1/3 lb. ground pork
  • 1/3 lb. ground veal
  • 1 egg, beaten
  • 1 small onion, diced
  • 1-2 slices soft sandwich bread, torn into bite-sized pieces
  • salt and pepper

Mix all the ingredients together in a large bowl. Form the meat mixture into 6 flat patties and set aside. Broil the patties in the oven until both sides are browned and the patties are cooked all the way through.
