Gingerbread Star Cookies

Ingredients
- 3/4 C. unsalted butter
- 1 C. packed brown sugar
- 1 egg
- 1/4 C. molasses
- 2 1/4 C. all purpose flour
- 2 tsp. baking soda
- 1 tsp. cinnamon
- 1 tsp. ginger

Preheat oven to 350 degrees F. Use electric mixer to mix butter and brown sugar in large bowl. Whisk egg and molasses until combined. Mix together flour, spices and salt. Combine well with butter mixture. Chill dough for at least one hour. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper. Form dough into 1-inch balls and place on greased baking sheet. Bake for 12 to 15 minutes or until golden around the edges.
