  • 2 C. flour
  • 1 tsp ginger
  • 1 tsp baking soda
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 2 eggs
  • 1/4 C. sugar
  • 1 C. buttermilk
  • 1/2 C. brown sugar
  • 1/3 C. vegetable oil
  • For maple syrup:
  • 1/2 C. maple syrup
  • 1/2 C. chocolate sauce

Mix flour, ginger, baking soda, baking powder, & salt into a medium bowl. Mix well. In a separate bowl, beat eggs until blended. Add in brown and white sugar, beating until creamy. Add buttermilk and vegetable oil. Beat until blended. Stir in dry ingredients until blended. Cook in waffle iron according to manufacturer's directions. Mix together chocolate and maple syrup for topping.
