  • 2 lb. russet potatoes, peeled and thinly sliced
  • 1 ½ C. milk
  • 1 C. heavy cream
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tsp. dried rosemary
  • Dash nutmeg
  • ¾ C. Swiss cheese, grated
  • ½ C. Parmigiano-Reggiano cheese, grated
  • ½ C. sharp cheddar cheese, shredded
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Preheat oven to 350 degrees. In a saucepan, combine milk, cream, garlic, rosemary, and nutmeg. Heat until mixture comes to a simmer, remove from heat, and cover; set aside. Layer a greased baking dish with potato slices, season with salt and pepper, top with a layer of cheeses, and repeat until you run out of layers. Pour cream mixture over potatoes evenly and bake for an hour to an hour and a half until golden.
