  • 2 lb. ground beef
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 1 carrot, thinly chopped
  • ½ tsp. garlic powder
  • 1/2 tsp. dried oregano
  • 1/4 tsp. basil
  • 1/4 tsp. ground cloves
  • ½ tsp. salt
  • 1 tsp. pepper
  • 1/2 C. panko bread crumbs
  • 1/3 C. grated Parmesan cheese
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1/2 C. milk
  • 1 1/2 Tbs. olive oil
  • 1/2 C. tomato sauce

Preheat the oven to 350 degrees. Combine the beef, onion, carrot, spices, bread crumbs, and Parmesan in a large bowl. In a separate bowl beat the eggs with the milk. Add the meat mixture to the liquid as well as the oil and tomato sauce. Mix with your hands until well combined. Form the meat to a large loaf pan and bake for 1 hour. Drain and slice the loaf before serving with gravy or tomato sauce on top.
