Good Old-Fashioned Southern Peach Tart
Serving Size / Yield
- 1 premade pie crust
- 1/4 C and 2 Tbs. peach preserves
- 3 to 4 peaches, cut into wedges
- Powdered sugar, for topping
- Whipped cream (optional)
Preheat the oven to 375 degrees.
Spread 1/4 cup of the peach preserves in the premade pie crust and place peach wedges in rings on top. Bake for about 20 minutes, or until the crust is still pale. Add the remaining 2 tablespoons of peach preserves over the peach wedges and bake for about 30 minutes longer, until the peaches are tender and the crust is golden.
Once out of the oven, sprinkle powdered sugar on top of peaches. Let the tart cool. Serve with whipped cream if needed.
