  • 1 cup almond milk, unsweetened
  • ½ cup butter, divided
  • 1 pack instant yeast
  • 3 cups flour, all-purpose
  • ¼ teaspoon salt
  • Canola oil
  • 1 tbsp and ¼ cup white sugar, divided
  • ½ tablespoon cinnamon
  • icing, warmed

Heat almond milk and butter in microwave at 30 second increments until warm but make sure that mixture is not too hot

Place warm milk and butter mixture in a bowl and sprinkle yeast then stir in 1 tablespoon sugar and salt after 10 minutes

Add flour gradually and mix then knead the dough on a floured surface

Coat dough with canola oil and allow to rise in a covered bowl

Roll dough in a slightly floured surface then brush with melted butter and top with sugar and cinnamon

Roll the dough tightly starting at one end then cut with a knife into sections

Brush remaining melted butter on top of the buns and let them rise for 10 minutes

Bake buns in oven at 350 degrees for 25 to 30 minutes

Drizzle liberally with icingprior to serving.
