Gooey Pumpkin Butter Cake

This is another way to use pumpkin for Thanksgiving if you dont want to make a simple pumpkin pie. I made it for my thanksgiving guests and they loved it. Tastes like pumpkin pie and vanilla cake put together is so good.

Ingredients

  • For crust:
  • 1 pkg. yellow cake mix
  • 1 stick butter, melted
  • 1 egg, beaten
  • For the filling:
  • 1 pkg. cream cheese, soften
  • 1 stick of butter, soften
  • 3 eggs
  • 1 tsp. vanilla extract
  • 1 can of canned pumpkin
  • 1/2 tsp. cinnamon
  • 1/2 tsp. nutmeg
  • 1/2 C. sugar

Directions

Make the crust first, mix the cake mix, melted butter and egg together with a mixer until well mixed. Pour on to greased rectangle cake pan, spread and cover the pan with crust. Then, mix the filling start with cream cheese and butter. Also add the eggs, vanilla extract, canned pumpkin, nutmeg, cinnamon and sugar. Mix well with mixer until well combined. Pour the filling onto the crust. Bake at 350 degrees for 45 minutes or until done. Let it cool or serve hot with whip cream if desired. Enjoy!!
