The use of the strong taste of gorgonzola cheese adds so much flavor to the gratin potatoes.

Ingredients

  • 8-10 Russet Potatoes
  • Gorgonzola Cheese
  • C. Cream
  • C. Parmesan Cheese
  • 1 Tbs. Butter
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Directions

First preheat oven to 350 degrees. Rub the inside of a 2-inch casserole with the butter. Peel the potatoes and slice into quarter inch disks. Have all of your ingredients out in front of your work area. Start by laying out the potato slices in a circular pattern until you reach the center of the dish. Cover this layer with pieces of Gorgonzola, Parmesan, cream and salt & pepper. Repeat this until you have reached about two thirds up the dish and cover the top with a substantial amount of cheese. Cover with Foil. Using a paring knife cut little slits into the foil. Place in the oven for about 45-60 minutes.

Yield: 8 Servings.
