Grandma's Apple Pie

Ingredients
- Crust:
- 3 C. flour
- 2 C. shortening
- 1/4 C. sugar
- 1/2 C. water
- pinch of salt
- 1 tsp. vinegar
- Filling:
- 6 lbs. apples (peeled, cored and sliced)
- 1/2 C. sugar
- 2 Tbs. cinnamon
- 1/2 C. water
Directions
For crust, mix ingredients together until they form a soft ball. Cut ball in half (for double crust). Roll out on WELL floured board. Place bottom crust in a 9-inch glass pan.
For filling, combine ingredients in large pot and cook on medium heat until apples are tender. Stir constantly so sugar, cinnamon and juice blend. Pour filling into crust.
Top with second crust. Cut design in crust and brush with milk. Bake at 350 degrees until golden (about 45 minutes).
