  • 2 C. lamb, ground
  • 1 C. wheat, cracked
  • 1 sm. Onion
  • ¼ tsp. salt
  • ¼ tsp. pepper
  • ¼ tsp. cinnamon
  • 1 pkg. pine nuts
  • 6 Tbs. butter

Start by soaking the wheat for 20 minutes at room temperature then drain well. Combine ground lamb with onion, salt, pepper and cinnamon. Split the mixture in half. Spread one half along the bottom of a rectangular cake pan and cover with a layer of pine nuts. Cover pine nuts with the rest of the mixture. Make a diagonal checkerboard pattern with a knife over the top of the mixture. Push thumb into 5-6 places and layer the butter in slices over the top. Bake at 350 for 40 minutes. Let rest for 20 more minutes and then enjoy!
