Green Beans with Caramelized Onions
Ingredients
- 3/4 lb. green beans, trimmed
- 1 Tbs. olive oil
- 1 Tbs. Mrs. Dash Lemon Pepper Seasoning
- 1 large sweet onion, peeled and cut into thin strips
- 1 Tbs. butter, unsalted
- 1 Tbs. sugar
Directions
Heat butter in large skillet, add onion, sprinkle with sugar. Cook over medium-high heat until onions are brown and tender, about 20 minutes. Meanwhile, half fill large saucepan with water and bring to a boil. Add green beans and cook until tender, about 10-13 minutes. Meanwhile, in small bowl mix olive oil and Mrs. Dash Lemon Pepper. Drain beans and place in serving bowl. Pour olive oil and Mrs. Dash mixture over warm beans and top with caramelized onions.
