Meat and vegetable kabobs are always a hit at cookouts and this recipe makes great grilled beef skewers. The recipe also makes special homemade dipping sauce, but you can cut down on time by using pre-purchased sauce and still have skewers everyone loves!

  • 1 ½ pounds boneless beef top sirloin
  • 1 ½ tablespoons honey
  • 1 ½ tablespoons soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon vegetable oil
  • ¼ teaspoon salt
  • 1 package mushrooms
  • 1 cucumber
  • 1 cup cherry tomatoes
  • 1 onion
  • 1 tablespoon chopped parsley
  • ¾ cup yogurt
  • 1/3 cup mayonnaise
  • 1 package ranch dressing mix

Whisk the honey, soy sauce, oil, and salt together in a plastic bag and add the beef. Coat the meat and place in the fridge for 20 minutes. Soak wooden skewers in water for 10 minutes. Remove the beef from the bag and cut it into 1 inch cubes. Cut the onion into wedges and slice the cucumber. Thread the meat and veggies onto separate skewers. Sprinkle the meat skewers with salt and pepper and grill for 6 minutes on each side. Grill the veggie skewers for 10 minutes and only turn occasionally. Rearrange the veggies and meat on the skewers with your desired combinations of meat and vegetables on each one.

To make the dipping sauce, blend the yogurt, ranch dressing mix, and mayonnaise in a mixing bowl. Cover and refrigerate for 6-8 hours.
