Grilled Pound Cake With Lemon Cream Frosting

- 3 tbs. sugar
- 1 C. heavy whipping cream
- 1 tbs. fresh-squeezed lemon juice
- 1 tsp. lemon peel, grated
- 3 tbs. butter
- 6 (1-inch thick) slices pound cake
Place cream in a small bowl and beat until thick. Beat in sugar, lemon juice and lemon peel. Cover and refrigerate until chilled.
Warm grill over medium heat. Coat both sides of each cake slice with butter. Add cake to grill and cook for 2 minutes on each side or until well browned. Top cake with frosting and serve.
