Grilled Shrimp Scampi

This is a nice shrimp dish because the sauce isn't very heavy at all. A lot of lime juice, olive oil and garlic simply flavor these shrimp.

Ingredients

  • 1/4 C. olive oil
  • 1/4 C. lime or lemon juice
  • 3 Tbs. chopped fresh parsley
  • 1 Tbs. minced garlic
  • Ground black pepper to taste
  • 1/4 tsp. crushed red pepper
  • 1 1/2 lb. raw, cleaned, shelled shrimp

Directions

In a plastic or glass bowl, combine the olive oil, lime or lemon juice, parsley, garlic, black pepper and crushed red pepper. Stir in the shrimp and marinate for 20-30 minutes. Preheat grill. Remove shrimp from the marinade, and thread onto skewers. Grill for about 2-3 minutes on each side, or until done.

  • Recipe sould great except do you use lime or lemon juice? Your narrative says "lime," your ingredients say "lemon." Which is it?

  • what we need in these recipes is how many cal., how much sod., cal. and fat of what kind is in them. But they sound good to me. I try to eat healthy.
