This marinated steak sandwich is easy to make and very flavorful! Marinate your meat and vegetables for as long as you desired.

Ingredients

  • 1/2 C. oil
  • 6 Tbs. white balsamic vinegar
  • 1 3/4 tsp. dry mustard, divided
  • 1 Tbs. dark brown sugar
  • 1 (2 lb.) beef roast, trimmed
  • 4 large plum tomatoes, thinly sliced
  • 1 bunch watercress, stems trimmed
  • 1/2 white onion, thinly sliced
  • 6 pieces French baguette

Whisk the oil, vinegar, and 3/4 tsp. mustard in a large bowl. Heat the grill to medium-high heat. Season the oil mixture with salt and pepper. Transfer 2 Tbs. dressing to another bowl. Whisk in the sugar and 1 tsp. mustard. Sprinkle beef with salt and pepper, then top with mixture from the second bowl.

Grill the beef, turning occasionally, for 30 minutes or until the desired level of doneness is achieved. Place on a cutting board, let rest for 10 minutes, and cut thinly across the grain. Add the tomatoes, watercress, and onion to the first bowl of marinade Toss while beef grills. Grill the bread for about 3 minutes, place on plates, and grilled side up. Arrange the beef slices over bread and top with salad.
