Ground Beef Casserole

- 1 lb ground beef
- 2 onions; chopped
- 2 C sliced mushrooms
- 1 Tbs butter
- 3 potatoes; washed, peeled, sliced
- ¼ tsp garlic salt
- 4 eggs
- 1 ½ C milk
- 1 C shredded cheddar cheese
Preheat the oven to 400 F and lightly grease a casserole dish with butter or oil. Set aside.
In a pan, melt the butter over medium high heat and begin to brown the ground beef. Add salt, pepper and garlic salt to taste.
Once the beef has been cooked, remove and set aside.
Then using the same pan, begin cooking the mushrooms and onions until becomes tender. Remove and set aside.
In a bowl, whisk the eggs and milk together.
Then, take the casserole dish and line the bottom with the sliced potatoes.
Top it with the cooked beef and then the mushroom and onion mixture.
Finally, pour the egg mixture over it and add a layer of the shredded cheese to top it off.
Allow it to bake for about 1 hour until the egg has set.
Remove and serve hot.
