  • 1 large onion, coarsely chopped
  • 3 garlic cloves, minced
  • 4 large potatoes, peeled and cut into 1/2-inch pieces
  • 2 large carrots, peeled and cut into 1/2 –inch pieces
  • 2 stalks celery, cut into 1/2-inch pieces
  • 1 C. ham steak, diced
  • 1 C. kielbasa, cut into 1/2-inch pieces
  • 1 28-oz. can of pea soup
  • 2 C. water
  • 3 bay leaves
  • salt and pepper

In a large pot, add onion, garlic, potatoes, carrots, green pepper and celery. Cook for five minutes and add in ham and sausage. Pour in pea soup, water, and bay leaves and bring to a boil. Reduce to medium heat and cook for 40 minutes. Remove bay leaves and salt and pepper to taste.
