Ham, Swiss & Red Onion Melts

These grilled sandwiches are simple and delicious.

Ingredients

  • 2 slices Whole Wheat Bread
  • 2 ounces honey cured or smoked ham, sliced
  • 1/8 red onion, thinly sliced
  • 4 slices Swiss cheese
  • Sweet mustard

Directions

Pre-heat broiler. Toast the bread slices and spread sweet mustard on one side of each slice. Top each slice with 2 ounces ham, 1 slice red onion, and 2 slices of cheese, in that order. Place on a cookie sheet. Broil until cheese is melted (about 4-5 minutes). Serve immediately.

Yield: 2 open-faced sandwiches
