  • 1 19-oz. pkg. frozen cheese tortellini
  • 3 T. butter
  • 1 tsp. garlic, minced
  • 1 C. cooked ham, thinly sliced
  • 1 1/2 tsp. cornstarch
  • 1/2 C. chicken broth
  • 1 tsp. dried basil
  • 1/2 tsp. dried parsley flakes
  • 1/4 tsp. pepper
  • 4 T. grated Parmesan cheese, divided

Prepare tortellini according to instructions on the package. In a large skillet, melt butter and garlic, sautéing until fragrant. Add ham and sauté for an additional minute. In a medium bowl, mix together cornstarch, broth, basil, parsley and pepper. Pour into skillet and bring mixture to a boil. Cook until thickened, stirring occasionally. Add two tablespoons of Parmesan and stir until melted. Drain tortellini and toss to combine with ham mixture. Sprinkle with remaining cheese and serve.
