This could probably be the most simple recipe for some amazing hash browns. I am not a cook and trust me I can do this with one eye open.

Ingredients

  • 2 lb. frozen hash brown potatoes
  • 1/2 C. melted butter
  • 1 pt. sour cream
  • 1/2 C. chopped onion
  • 2 C. shredded Cheddar cheese
  • 1 (10 3/4 oz.) can cream of mushroom soup
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • 1/2 tsp. pepper

Directions

Melt butter and add to frozen potatoes. Mix sour cream, onion, cheese, soup salt and pepper in separate bowl. Combine mixture with potatoes in a 13 x 9 x 2 inch baking pan. Bake, uncovered, for 1 hour at 350 degrees.

Yield: 8 to 10 servings.

  • Sounds easy enough, I plan to try it on a busy morning. Fry some bacon or sausage on the side, and the grandkids should be thrilled!
