Even when you're on a diet, you can still have a hearty casserole for breakfast. This recipe is less than 300 calories too!

  • 1 1/2 C. low-fat sausage
  • 1 medium onion, chopped
  • 2 eggs
  • 4 egg whites
  • 2 C. fat-free milk
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • 1/4 tsp. pepper
  • 8 slices whole wheat bread, cut into 1" cubes
  • 1 pkg. pie crust dough

Heat large skillet over medium heat then place sausage and onion. Cook until sausage is brown. Drain and cool. In a bowl, beat eggs, egg whites, milk, salt and pepper. Stir in bread cubes and sausage mixture. Pour in greased 10-inch round pan. Cover and refrigerate overnight.

Take out casserole. Preheat oven at 350 degree F. Cut pie crust dough into strips to create lattice crust. Bake for 35 to 40 minutes. Let it cool for a few minutes before cutting.
