When fall hits, I always start craving apples with caramel sauce, but I don't want to eat the unhealthy store-bought caramel sauces. This recipe only has 3 ingredients and is low-fat, gluten free and completely guilt free!

Serving Size / Yield

1/4 cup of sauce


  • 2 Tbs. smooth peanut butter
  • 2 Tbs. maple syrup
  • 1/3 C. milk

In a small saucepan, combine the peanut butter and syrup over a medium high heat. Bring it to a boil and allow it to cook for 1 minute, or until it turns a light golden color. Add in the milk and stir until the caramel mixture is smooth and well combined. Continue to cook, stirring regularly, until the desired consistency is achieved. Pour into a clean jar and store at room temperature for up to a week.
