Healthy Mixed Berry Smoothies
Serving Size / Yield
- 8 oz. strawberries, chopped
- 1/2 C. berries, frozen
- 1 C. milk (dairy, soy, almond, coconut)
- 1 Tbs. maple syrup
1) Pour the milk into a blender then add the chopped berries. Toss in some frozen berries though leave a few for the topping of the smoothie later. The frozen ones are good for creating a cold, thick blend.
2) Blend until the mixture turns creamy and thick. Pour in the maple syrup. These are also mixed or blended together for a while. The smoothie is then poured into glasses. This is the time to add in some frozen berries on top to keep the smoothie chilled and with an appetizing look. Use a straw and enjoy your snack.
