Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 C. all-purpose flour
  • 2 heaping Tbs. old-fashioned oats
  • 1/2 tsp. baking soda
  • 1 1/2 tsp. baking powder
  • 2 tsp. sugar
  • 1/4 tsp. salt
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 1/2 C. buttermilk or substitute
  • 1/4 C. skim milk
  • 1 C. blueberries
  • 1 C. strawberries

Directions

Mix together dry ingredients. Beat egg yolk with the milk. Add salt and add to dry ingredients. Mix in eggs. Mix until smooth. Pour batter into waffle iron and cook until golden brown. Serve with fruit on top.
