Meatloaf is a bomb comfort food. The sweet glaze over the ground beef is to die for! This turkey version of the dish is just as easy to make and equally delicious.

  • 1 ½ lb. ground turkey
  • ¾ C. whole wheat bread crumbs, seasoned
  • ¼ C. parmesan cheese
  • 1 yellow onion, diced
  • 1 green pepper, diced
  • ½ C. milk
  • 1 egg
  • ½ C. ketchup
  • ¼ C. brown sugar
  • 1 Tbs. Dijon mustard
  • 1 Tbs. Worcestershire sauce
  • 2 tsp. Salt
  • 1 tsp. Garlic powder
  • ½ tsp. pepper

Preheat the oven to 350 degrees. Combine the ketchup, brown sugar, mustard, and Worcestershire sauce and set it aside. Combine the remaining ingredients and mold the turkey into the shape of a loaf. Place it in a pan and bake it for 30 minutes. Drain the pan and glaze the meatloaf with the ketchup mixture. Place the loaf back in the oven for 30 minutes. Let it cool at least 5 minutes before slicing into it.
