  • 1 bay leaf
  • 2 T. oil
  • 3 chopped carrots
  • 3 chopped celery stalks
  • 1 chopped onion
  • 1 C. chopped green beans
  • 1 C. black beans
  • 4 C. water
  • 1 C. vegetable broth
  • 1 can chopped tomatoes
  • Salt and pepper to taste
