  • Chicken
  • 12 Chicken Drumsticks
  • 10 Smashed Cloves of Garlic
  • ½ Cup of Soy Sauce
  • ¼ Cup of Vinegar
  • 1 Cup of Water
  • 4 Bay leaves
  • Rice
  • 2 Cups of Jasmine Rice
  • 2 Cups of Water
  • 1 Teaspoon of Sugar
  • 1 Teaspoon of Salt
  • 1 Chicken Bullion Cube
  • 1 Teaspoon of Black Pepper
  • 1 Tablespoon of Chopped Scallions
  • 1 Tablespoon of Butter

To begin, put the chicken in a pot and season with bay leaves, pepper, and garlic. Then add in the water, soy sauce, and vinegar, and cover until it reaches a boil. Reduce the heat to medium for 15 minutes after the chicken has boiled. Then, bring the heat back up to high as you stir the mixture. Cook until the chicken is completely done, or no longer pink in the middle.

For the rice, make sure it has been rinsed thoroughly. Then, add the rest of the ingredients -- the water, sugar, salt, bullion cube, pepper, scallions, and butter -- and stir until everything has dissolved and combined. Wait until the rice begins to boil and then quickly reduce to a low heat for 25 minutes, keeping it covered the entire time.

When the rice is done, serve your pieces of chicken on top of the rice, and enjoy!
