Herbed Chicken Casserole
Ingredients
- 6 chicken boneless breast halves
- 1/4 C. butter
- one 10.5-oz. condensed cream of chicken soup
- 8 oz. mushrooms, sliced
- 3/4 C. dry white wine
- 2 Tbs. chopped green bell pepper
- 1/4 tsp. leaf thyme, crushed
- 1 tsp. dried parsley flakes
- 1/4 tsp. tarragon or rosemary, crumbled
- 1/4 tsp. dried minced chives
- salt and pepper, to taste
Directions
Season chicken with salt and pepper, then brown chicken in butter in a skillet. Place chicken in a baking dish. Add soup to the drippings in the skillet and mix together. Slowly add dry white wine and stir until smooth. Add remaining ingredients and boil.
Pour sauce over chicken and cover with foil. Bake at 350° for 25 minutes. Uncover and continue baking for 35 minutes or until tender.
